Whitney and Will’s wedding was the first that I ever shot, and to say that I hit the jackpot on couples is a major understatement! I looked forward to their wedding day from the very first time that I talked with Whitney about it. Words like simple, intimate, and relaxed flowed out of her and I knew the day was going to be beautiful. When I showed up at the wedding site, the place was buzzing with activity. As with any wedding, it was hard not to feel revved up what with the influx of people and the clock ticking until ceremony time. I rushed around, enjoying the energy until I finally was able to slip into Whitney’s suite to photograph the dress and details as she got ready. The instant I walked into her room I felt a whole different vibe. Whitney was calm, collected, and drop. dead. gorgeous. Her family flitted in and out, asking questions, peering out the window at the arriving guests, and fixing ties. All the while, Whitney kept a sweet smile of anticipation on her face and watched the activity around her. She was the picture of beautiful calm.
Whitney and Will, thank you for taking a chance on me and allowing me to not only photograph your day but be a part of the moments in between the photos with you and your families.
I hope your honeymoon was beautiful, intimate, and relaxing just like your special day!

Whitney’s parents have been married for 39 beautiful years. With looks like that still happening, I think they have quite a few more to go. Keep it up, you two…keep it up.
