weda & chris {wedding}

“I’m a wreck,” she nervously stated when I walked in the door.  And then she burst into a huge, infectious smile.  A few minutes later she stood in the middle of the pre-ceremony chaos of dress adjusting and hair prepping, still smiling, occasionally using shaky hands to check the clock on her phone.  But that huge smile was always there.  As much as she didn’t feel comfortable thinking about the hundreds of people that would soon be watching her make her way down the aisle, there was one person she couldn’t wait to see.   The one she would promise to spend the rest of her life with, smiling all the way.

I have known these guys for ages, and while the below picture is a good group shot, the next is the true representation of what it’s like to be around them.  I believe someone popped a button…

Weda, I think you should wear that dress every. single. day.

No, seriously.

Weda is a true southern WV girl.  As soon as she started to walk anywhere her friends would rush behind her to pick up the train of her dress but she would laugh, throw the whole thing over her shoulder, and keep walking.

The ceremony and reception were in the middle of mountain paradise.  I had forgotten how amazing the scenery of West Virginia is in October – trees so bright they look like they’re on fire, blazing sunsets behind tall mountains.  But all that pales in comparison to the people.  People who hug you like they mean it, ask how your family is, and really and truly listen to the answer.  Weda and Chris are two of those people and I can’t wait to see them live out their days together.  Thanks to you both for allowing me to be a part of the celebration!
